Morning all

Just a quick Q - is anybody still successfully exporting photos from SIMS with the SalamanderSoft tools?

Our installations are missing the GenerateSIMSConfigFile.exe so interested to knowif this is something ESS have taken away, and if there are any alternatives?

Cheers!

I had the same issue a couple days ago, thankfully I had a machine with an old version of SIMS still on which had the GenerateSIMSConfigFile.exe file in it. So copied it into the new SIMS folder and it worked.

If you can't find it, I can zip and send over for you if you want. Assume it's just not part of SIMS install anymore?

FFS - Just been banging my head against the desk on this one, trying to work out what I was missing as I need to export the photos for a project I've got going on at the moment. And yes, that file no longer exists in the current SIMS installation. ESS have removed it ! WTF !!!!???? ###

It may still be available on the SIMS server's folder and can be copied across to the workstation you need to export the photos to.

Hopefully you got sorted. If not, or to anyone else with the same problem, the PhotoExporter has been updated today. It can now generate it's own configuration file - provided that the SIMS assemblies can be located on the machine.

The information on the website needs to be updated to reflect this new version but the README included in the zip is up-to-date.
