psydii Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 Hi All, Where do Data Managers go for peer support? I know we have a Data Managers group, but that is very quiet. I seem to recall their may have been a forum over on the TES Communities site before they got deleted, and their might be something over on Facebook.... Where should I point our new team, advice gratefully received! P. 1
Ditto Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 The DM's equivalent to ANME - https://adme.me.uk/ I'm sure there is also a professional qualification or professional body for school DM's. I know a DM that certificated to try to support a pay rise a few years ago. I'll dig around and post if I can find the details. 4
Ditto Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 https://webcontent.ssatuk.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/SSAT-NDMA-2015.pdf - (this is/was the certification). Not sure it's still around, but might be of interest. A search of "NDMA" on edugeek shows a few hits, but all quite a a way in the past.
Seb1780 Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 NDMA is still a thing - but it's very quiet I use a few Facebook groups - School Data Management & Sixth Form Data and Funding being the main ones. There are some support forums for specific tools / software - SISRA are behind some of the Facebook stuff for instance; dare I say it, the ESS / SIMS support network is still pretty good. 1
coolhands Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Facebook unfortunately. It’s the main reason I’m on there.
