dsmith8 Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 (edited) We are having issues with embedded YouTube Videos on our Office Pro Plus 2021 LTSC. If we try to play it as a user we get the following error but if we play as a admin or domain admin it works fine. If checked all our IE Options as I believe PowerPoint still uses parts of IE for add ons but the settings all seem to match, I've also put exceptions in our filtering to allow a CDN it was trying to get to. Strangley this works fine in Windows 11 Education Just not Windows 10 using the same version of office GPO's etc. If anyone has any ideas let me know as I'm a little stumped. Oaktech Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 I can't answer the question, but this issue has been rolling on since office 2013.
Tech13 Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 We are having a similar issue - anyone get a resoloution?
ColonelPanic Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 Do you force SafeSearch in your web filter? We find our smoothwall appliance blocks all embedded videos in PowerPoint for this reason, otherwise the kids would be able to bypass the safesearch/adult restriction filter by just embedding the video. Edit: just saw the bit about Windows 11 - really not sure about that now.
