What it is like: Jeddah is the most liberal of all states in Saudi Arabia, a country going through rapid progressive changes and recently hosted the Grand Prix! Port city on the Red Sea so excellent water sports facilities, beaches, plenty of heat and no humidity Long history of accepting ex-pats, friendly locals, wider variety of foods and peoples. Villa life next to school, lots of shops and restaurants, and never more than a few metres from a pool and no winter months I have personally placed here in the past and they have very much enjoyed their time and stayed for several years The Perks: Free accommodation and utilities, private medical cover and lunches @ £69K TAX FREE income so you can just save, save, save Annual Flight contributions to use with your 55 days leave!! Initial 2 year Visa which often gets extended The school set up: Up to date school network requiring someone Strategic AND hands on knowledge 1500 international student cohort, 200 staff, 300 pc’s 4 well versed staff to manage including Network Admin, classroom technician, database co-ordinator (Engage), web and social media officer Most technology is up to date with a significant IT capital expenditure but plenty of projects to work on including a new website going live, move to One Drive, SharePoint and 365 in next year and move engage to cloud version. Have Google Classroom and will continue to use for curriculum, currently exchange 2016, VMware, office 2019, windows 10 throughout, IBM blades, Mac’s in music labs and 6 IT suites All new Meraki Switches and with fast wifi and redundancy across 2 ISP’s Can you apply? We are looking for someone with specific education IT management experience, again both hands on and strategic. Working in Saudi still carries some restrictions and for the visa you must have a formal face to face degree as minimum They do have a very thorough Visa process (medicals, police and qualification checks, extensive referencing etc). Just to warn you Men and Women can apply but you must be either single or married, no in-betweenies, dependents will be considered, a partner in teaching a distinct advantage! Autumn term kicks of in August and the role is available from now so get in touch if you are interested and kick start your international IT career!

Would love this position as I’ve worked in the Middle East before. If only I had a Degree!

mikeprice Posted June 19, 2022 Posted June 19, 2022 There is an application for on the school website but no entry about vacancies Also - you seem to have the option of filling in an on-line application or downloading one in either Word or pdf Not sure what they prefer Personally I would ring the school and ask - but remember that if you do then regard the phone call as the first part of a possible interview Good luck anyone who wants it!!!
