Anyone else receive a load of IE7 updates for Latvia and Estonia this morning and IE8 beta?

 

I have WSUS set to only receive English language updates so it seems a bit odd.

I have a load of updates for IE 8 Beta this morning but all in english... however i dont have ie8!

No i left the IE8 dynamic installer unchecked so they must come under the 2003/XP catagory, why i'm getting all of the languages is a mystery though.

Me too I have IE8 Beta 1 security updates, but all in English.

44 updates today, might be a record! I'm sure I'm only set for English and no IE8, but they're definitely there!

 

Time to recheck the settings

Just to clarify it isn't IE8 Beta 1 itself. It's security updates for IE8 Beta 1 (if you have it installed), although I don't run beta software in a network environment.

Yes, I have all the languages appearing. It's not the first time either, so I'm not convinced they take any notice of your language preferences at all.

22 Updates here this morning.

 

As previously mentioned 8 for IE7 in Latvian, Estonian and Bulgarian. And 3 security updates for IE8 which isn't even installed on the network.

 

Have just checked the settings on the server and its definatly set to download updates in ENGLISH only!

Yup, same here, as well as an old superceded update which was apparently released in the year 3008.

3 security updates for IE8 which isn't even installed on the network.

 

That's because WSUS doesn't know that. All it does is pull down whatever is available, so that you can choose whether to approve it or not.
