Not good news for me as I've already signed up to business starter - I wonder if I can cancel that...?

Someone on Reddit mentioned they were able to switch back to G Suite Legacy by going through support. Might be worth a try?

I migrated my email over to Fastmail, but didn't upgrade my legacy G Suite domain to any of the paid Workspace plans so it was easy to switch to the no cost option. I am glad I waited, although I don't think I will be switching my email back to Google.

I have moved to Fastmail now for my family email anyway and love it much nicer interface to Gmail IMO. I have also created normal google accounts based on these now so we can share things like purchases via google family link etc which didn't work with gsuite legacy accounts.

It nice that Google have relented (for now anyway) for people that have stayed, but I feel much happier paying for an email service from a company that only does email. I also think that this free version will only let you have 10 users total from what I have read on reddit.

Thank god for that, I didn't fancy paying for other members of the family, or having to organise payments from them!

The above linked worked a treat! Took me longer to log into my admin account than it did to confirm it's for personal use only.
