I've finally managed to convince SLT to ditch Entrust for our Leased Line and I'm looking into our options. I've had a quote from Wave9 for their managed Sophos XG and Leased Line and I'm very impressed with what I've seen so far. Has anyone had experience with them? If so what's the service like?

We moved to Wave9 earlier this year and they have been brilliant. Virgin Media cancelled several appointments to install our leased line, but Wave9 went above and beyond to make sure we still had a solid connection in the meantime.

 

Filtering and firewall queries have been handled promptly and professionally and general communication is excellent.

 

I've been so impressed that they were my first choice for our Connect the Classroom bid, and they have helped us to secure some serious DfE funding to upgrade our network infrastructure.

We're just moving away from them - but that isn't for any bad reason at all. Their service has been second to none, support has always been spot on and never had to be passed around for anything - one call/email has always resolved everything, and that's usually changes we've requested rather than any problems.

Reliability was excellent but obviously will depend on your carrier as much as anything else, and I love the Sophos XG. Do however make sure you go for the FastVue reporting on top as that is still the XG's weak point, HOWEVER they did contact me just towards the end of us using our XG to ask if I'd trial a new reporting setup, so they may already have that taken care of

I've given plenty of positive references for them over the phone and in writing and will continue to do so - they still provide a line to us temporarily, as we've had delay after delay with our new gigabit line (thanks Openreach!). They've been able to extend and cope with us chopping and changing constantly

Anything is better than Entrust! How schools still buy anything from Capita related companies blows my mind.

Had Wave9 install a Meraki wireless solution at an old job of mine. They were fab. Did a great job.
