My Windows 8 tablet meets minimum spec?

I have 15 HP 610 G1 pro tablets, 64bit, quad core, 4gb and TPM 2.0 this'll be good.

 

They still run Windows 8.1 as windows 10 made them choppy and unusable, if 11 goes one I expect worse

I've used very similar tablets with Windows 10 and found they worked really well - other than some embedded Flash/media heavy websites. That was with a standard WIM.

 

I don't think the CPUs are anywhere near the supported spec for 11, so while it may install it could be even choppier!

Interestingly I've 'forced' it onto a couple of Acer tabs that were designed for 8.1, were awful with 10, but work *much* better with 11. The only limitation is that because they don't even attempt to install the dedicated graphics and default to the MS basic driver it disables the mini hdmi output. Your mileage may vary, but don't write them off just yet.

yes, windows 11 states needing a dx12 graphics capable card.

it's in! drivers are a pain it runs poorly and the RM Certificate isn't working!

 

edit: btw I didn't force it, just booted the win11 media and it went right through.

Well, 11 is on, it works... it could work. every function is running, all drivers in. I've even got it domained and policed.

 

It has 1 super flaw... no tablet mode. (for a fing tablet!)

 

Things like, icons are too small, windows open any size they feel like (not maximised), but the biggest issue is no fing onscreen keyboard.

 

I'm using touch, you know I'm using touch, I click in a text box and DURRRRRRR, nothing. The solution online is to add the onscreen keyboard as a shortcut to the taskbar... So just like Windows 8 desktop mode... nice!
