Hello,

We are a SMART Board and SMART TV house normally but a local company who were clearing their offices have given us a Clevertouch interactive TV. I think this is a first gen model from around 2012.

Silly question that I cannot find the answer to anywhere, but will this just plug and play like a mouse or do I need to install some drivers to get it to work?

I have tried both a Windows device and a Mac device and the OS on the laptop does not seem to detect the touch interaction. On the device itself via the inbuilt software the touch screen is working fine.

Any advice would be greatly recieved.

Cheers

Typically clevertouch screens are plug and play, no software installation or calibrating required. However because the one you’ve got is an older model that might not be the case. Any downloads on their website for your model?

Thanks for the reply! I suspected as much. Unfortunately I cannot see any downloads for the model we’ve been given, I assume that is due to its age.

Might be worth contacting their support, before you completely write it off.

We've tried their support but have been told that the 5 year warranty ended in 2017 so they don't seem too interested in helping.

We will just use it as a TV in an area which does not require interactivity if we cannot get it to work interactively so not a massive issue and certainly a better image than the old projector!
