Is anyone using "Access It" Library system? We saw it at a seminar and it looks very impressive but before we make the leap we would like some feedback about real life use. The one place nearby that has it can't show us because it was upgraded and is down at the moment (not promising but we'll let that pass) and when we talk to them about it they seem really apathetic, not saying outright the system is rubbish but not really enthusing about it. Put altogether this has set my spidey senses tingling but as the system did look promising I want to give it a chance.

So any good/bad real life experiences?

We use it here... haven't had any problems with it and it runs on a server under the librarian's desk - the fact that I've only seen it once might tell you how problem-free it's been for us in the last 9mths.

I think we have integrated our cashless catering with the library cards as well, and were looking at implementing a room booking system with it, but the latter's not been thought about for a good 6mths or so!

Well a good story is great, many thanks. We started looking into it on my recommendation so I was starting worry I had led us on a bad path. :)

Shhh... if it doesn't work out you now have an excuse in indiegirl  ;)

The local CTC round here (my former employer) also runs it with the same cards from the cashless catering system too ...

I liked it and was only frustrated by the user import, which was a pain ... and that the database was not easily interogated by anything other than the actuall program ...

For most people that would not be an issue.

I am looking into considering it over Limes (our current prodcut) and Micro Librarian, so keep the feedback coming please
