Why are my Unifi AC-Pro's showing differently?

I bought a batch of Unif AC-Pro Access points and they work fine.

 

A month later I bought another set. These all work fine but on my map all of these new ones show a different signal strength to the previous lot.

 

It's hard to explain but see the pic attached of a snippet of our school.

The ones that are very bright red are the latest additions.

 

One thing I do notice with these latest added AP's is that although they get adopted, it flashes up with an orange message but I cant seem to see it anymore. Apart from that they all work.

 

Any ideas?

Different hardware revision possibly? They should all behave the same though!

Don't worry about it, the map is almost worthless. you can set the scale for your APs somewhere, I'll assume it was changed between batches.

I’m not sure how they map is calculated but it looks like your newer batch are installed in part of building that was built at a different time. Maybe the materials used are making the WIFI signal weaker?

I thought this originally but placing these in the other building where the others are does the same thing.

 

From closer inspection it looks like they are on different firmware releases. I don't know if there is a way to force them all to update or if I have to manually do each one.
