Hi

Does anyone have any problems with Sophos Central (Server Endpoint with Intercept-X) running on the SIMS server, or any additional exclusions over and above the automatic SQL 2016 ones Sophos puts in?

We've had Central for 18 months but I think I got fed up of it causing problems when we rolled it out, so we disabled it back then. :ohwell:

With Cyber Essentials, we turned it back on on servers last month - but the server is running like a dog and we have to reboot it every few days as nobody can get into SIMS.

VM is 16GB with SQL limited to 12GB, which has been fine until we put Sophos back on.

Have been running Sophos Server and Intercept X on our SIMS Server VM for a couple of years now and not had any problems. Did plan to add exceptions to include the SIMS & FMS folder and whatnot but didn't notice any slowdown so decided not to add them.

We have about 25 workstations accessing SIMS & FMS at any one time.

Has anyone experienced any recent issues before I go ahead and put endpoint on a SIMS server?

We’ve been running Sophos on our SIMS server for years and not had any issues

We're no longer using SIMs, but we had the same issue...... iirc we had to disabled on access scanning on the "SIMs" folder......but allow it on write..... it was a while back. But is wasn't an exception rule.....

not sure if that helps
