I've managed to get through to them. It sounds like it was all online payments that have gone wrong, not just cashless catering. They have put a fix in place for online payments but are speaking with cashless providers on how best to resolve children having incorrect balances.

Yes, we have noticed this too and thought it was just us initially! All happened at the same time (around 1pm yesterday) but variable amounts and transaction quantities. Some students had £100s applied.

We have had this issue since last week. SchoolComms have said they had an issue with the internet payment system which gave parents a false error saying the payment had not been successful so the parent tried again. We have had parents try numerous time amounting up to £100's. SchoolComms have known about the issue but not communicated to anyone.

We are now seeing accounts credited with random amounts even if the parent/staff member didn't top-up the account! We have one pupil with £500 on the account..........

Ahhh... this relates to my other thread I just started...... we've noticed it too. Extra payments on our Cunninghams system from Schoolcomms.

So, is this a Cunninhams Issue or Schoolcomms?

SchoolComms have said it is an issue with them and are working with the cashless catering companies direct to try and resolve the issue. We also use Cunninghams. Still no communication from them to say they have an issue it seems to be very hush hush

I've fired off an e-mail to Schoolcomms for an explanation. No doubt questions will be asked from SMT and already getting a lot of enquiries from parents about this. Not good.

Has anyone had an issue with schoolcomms last night? We have a lot of transactions going through that didn’t happen.

I managed to get through to them and they are getting onto it. We had a server go down yesterday so was soooo pleased to hear it wasn’t due to that. Would have been another very busy day if it was.

Still no update from them though so it must be quite the headache for them.

Just wondering, has anyone had a complaint from parents to say that money has come out of their account? We have had a query, but I’ve checked mine and my partners, but we’ve had no money come out.

Will be ringing schoolcomms ASAP tomorrow to check as it’s a good/believable parent. Then we’ll need to inform parents if it is taking money.

None of our parents have raised complaints about this, especially about money being taken out, just money being put in (so concerns rather than complaints). It would have been a double nightmare of this issue were the other way around!

Usually, when we have parents say money has come from the account unexpectantly, it may be due to multiple transactions being processed instead of one and they don't realise. I am sure they would get email notification for each transaction though. Schoolcomms can usually see the bank-level transactions in these cases. Even if this were the case, you would usually be able to see this in the schoolcomms backend transaction history yourself.

We have had the same issue, looks like it's a hard one for Schoolcomms to resolve.

Received a generic email on Wednesday: "Our developers are working with our Cashless Caterer partners to resolve this. It is imperative, whilst the fixes are being worked on, and subsequently rolled out, that no manual adjustments are completed via Schoolcomms or your Cashless Caterer provider’s system."

We have a student with £28K balance, a few of the students are planning on putting their money together and offering to buy the canteen.

It looks like all our accounts have corrected themselves about 50mins ago, but no word yet from schoolcomms if this is now considered "fixed". The debt list is a very grim read though (despite our efforts to minimize expenditure from those who would otherwise not have had sufficient funds).

I wonder if this correction been done simultaneously for all schools or staggered..
