kennysarmy Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 Hi there, Been asked to investigate the use of a shared school calendar, we're an Office 365 school with a hybrid Exchange setup. Any tips for a setup to push a shared calendar out to all staff, that would be inaccessible and hidden from students?
dezt Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 How about creating a Staff Team in Teams and adding all staff to the Team, they can then access the calendar from Teams or through Outlook as a shared calendar. 1
MatthewL Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 Sharepoint calendar? Public folders have been withdrawn I think now. 1
kennysarmy Posted March 23, 2021 Author Posted March 23, 2021 I'm looking at the Public Folders option. I have to type the name for the public folder mailbox! Is this something that can be changed as it's not clear where this will show... What would be a good choice of name for the public folder mailbox? The name of the School? Public_name of school ?

psydii Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 We just have a shared mailbox and set the permissions on the Calendar folder. People are instructed to add the calendar. The trouble is that while Outlook is a great way of sharing the school calendar it isn't the best way to build it, so the tools that are used to build it are the ones that are kept up to date, and the Outlook version is just another admin task for them to keep up to date, and so it isn't. 1
