Dell EqualLogic PS6100 Drive Compatibility

Hello.

 

Does anyone know what drives I can use in a EqualLogic PS6100?

 

We have one onsite ticking over but has 2 failed drives in. Currently has 600GB 15k sas drives. Was looking on amazon at replacement drives but unsure what firmware they need.

You’re probably best going to someone like Upgrade Options who sell spares for Dell servers and storages. It probably won’t be cheap but you will at least get a drive with the right firmware.

We have had a few drives for our sans second hand from a server refurb place, had a few over last 18 months and no issues, can dig details out when back in tomorrow.

We had our servers and switches from ETB Technologies, we've always had great service.

 

They stock the 6100 and do spares, might be worth contacting them
