[bromcom] Staff cannot type into free comment fields

Hi

 

Our staff are unable to type any input into free comment fields for our current reporting session. There were no such problems with our previous reporting session. (please see attached screenprint).

 

I have raised this as a support ticket with Bromcom. In the meantime, is there anyone out there who might know the cause of this problem, and if there's a workaround solution to it within Bromcom?

In the top right, Chrome is indicating an error. Can you see what that is?

Yes, it's basically a message stating that a 'new extension' (i.e. McAfee Endpoint Security Web Control) has been added. I'm assuming this won't be relevant to my query?

Hi all

 

You can disregard this thread, as I've managed to resolve the issue myself. I forgot to set a maximum number of comments when creating the relevant assessment type; consequently the number of maximum characters defaulted to zero.

For the benefit of others reading this, you can set the character range for the comments under Modules > Assessment > Assessment Components > Types > Mock Exam Comment (Optional) > Edit. You can see from the screenshot that the Characters Remaining (top right of the pop up) was 0, this needs to be set to e.g. minimum 0 and maximum 500.
