Skin graft done two days late but all done and I'm on morphine for pain relief.

I'll be home for Christmas [emoji846]

Good news - glad it got done in time for Christmas

and you seem to make more sense on morphine than I sometimes do after 2 glasses of red wine!!

Glad it’s all done. It must be a relief to be done and home now we’re in tier 4. Hope the pain eases quickly :grouphug:

Thanks [emoji846]

Tbh the last three months I've either been in hospital or house bound so makes no difference to me. I'll struggle when fully healed!

@hardtailstar, sorry, I hadn't seen this thread. I do hope you are on the mend. Burns can be a pain to heal (no pun intended).

Fingers crossed for a normal-ish (as much as can be given the current situation) Christmas.

Healing well thanks [emoji846]

Christmas is exactly the same for me minus the burns. Live with my parents so will be just us three. Rest of my family live in Preston/Manchester and Scotland so normally see them during the year. Well not this year!

98% healed!

Just a few plasters now [emoji846]

Lot of scab peeling and moisturising to do now!

I'm pleased to hear this. To be honest, I think we all need as much good news as we can at the moment.

Back to work tomorrow!

Albeit working from home and only 4 hours across the day.

Still some way on my legs to go with tiny open wounds but the doctor said I could work again!

It’s nice to be able to do something. I was bored to tears when signed off after my back operations. A few hours a day to ease yourself back is good [emoji4]

I've not been bored as I've had tv and films to catch up on, played on my xbox and generally tried to keep myself mentally going otherwise I'd go insane! Quickly learnt this the first time I was in hospital with nothing! So decided to write a list of things to watch/do in the periods at home to keep me going!

Yeah a few hours is good to ease me back in, not sure if I would be in the same situation of working from home if the schools were in normally but at least by the time everyone is back I should be a lot more mobile and remembered how to do my job!

Bit of an update, I am almost healed!

Some plasters covering about 4 or 5 wounds less than the size of 5p on each leg.

Excellent news!

Drove my car for the first time too :D

Freedom! Shame you can’t go anywhere more interesting than the supermarket :D
