Anyone with JAMF School, do you pay an additional service charge above the cost of the license fee to use it?

I have started a trial, and am reasonably committed to it, but have now discovered that in addition to the per iPad cost, there is a service charge to cover training and support which is more than the license fee.

 

Has anyone purchased JAMFSchool without this service charge?

I guess its the same with Jamf pro in which you have to pay for the Jamf Kick Start which usually includes setup and training. After that, you should only then pay for device licenses.

I wouldn't mind so much, but I was given a free trial and no training, so I have set it up up myself.

Are you buying from a reseller or direct from JAMF?

You can either go for an annual subscription or a license which lasts the lifetime of the device. We went with the latter and paid £17 per device

Device lifetime licences are a waste of time, if it breaks or gets lost the licence is gone. You can buy a £5.00 redeployable licence per year.

If you want support this is an additional add on charge which you can choose not to have.

I don't mind paying £5/year, it's the setup fee that i think is very high (more than the license fee for the number of iPads we currently have)

There is no set up fee (unless you asked for this from your reseller)

 

Unlike Jamf Pro, Jamf do not require a set up fee for Jamf School?

I didnt' ask for it, I specifically said I didn't want it, but I was told I was obliged to take it. Can anyone recommend a reseller for Jamfschool?

It’s up to the reseller to decide how they want to sell support – so totally up to you. We don’t require any sort of Jumpstart for Jamf School.
