James-kennedy1997 Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 I work at a school and we keep having a recceing problem with our Optiplex 3010 we have 2 displays connected (projector over HDMI and screen over VGA) the PCs keep disabling the second screen (screen that runs over VGA) and will only display on the 1st screen (projector over HDMI) we have updated the BIOS, reinstalled windows, updated the intel video drivers. but nothing makes a difference we have had this problem on just over 30 PCs, has anyone else had this problem or knows of a fix, if you think i will get a better answer in a different section please let me know
TriggerHappyUK Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 Have you tried swapping the cables around (HDMI to monitor and VGA to projector) to see if you get the same result? Is there any display software for the monitor that you are using? Are you displaying at the correct resolution? Find the correct native resolution for the monitor.
chazzy2501 Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 maybe a super cheap lp gfx card with outputs as this sounds like a BIOS bug / behaviour. The HPs I have will always choose the DP monitor over the native VGA output. (this is annoying if projector is DP and not on!) maybe ask verypc 1
TLARWise Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 Did you get anywhere with this issue as we are having the same issue with our Dell Optiplex 3020's and Viewsonic interactive displays.
