Hi

I’m trying to import data into an assessment marksheet, which was erroneously entered into another marksheet. I’ve deleted all irrelevant columns, inserted the admission number into the host template to ensure it appears in the destination marksheet, and changed the headings to ensure they’re compatible with the receiving marksheet. But despite trying to import it in both .csv and .xlsx format, the system still produces a message ‘Incompatible files’. (please see attached screenprint).

I’ve also attached a copy of the .xlsx file (I couldn’t attach the .csv file as it’s an ‘invalid file’).

Could someone please take a look and tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Many thanks in anticipation.

It needs to be a csv, just check when your saving as a normal csv and its not defaulting to the first one which is for mac. You also need to export as a csv to be able to import this way. Also worth checking the maximum length of the comments in mark sheet.

Also if you have access to manage data, you can use the import assessment data bulk import anything to a database slot even if you havent created a specific marksheet for it. We have used it to bulk import targets for future years

Thanks very much for this. I eventually succeeded in importing it by means of the Import Assessment Data tool; I'll admit to overlooking this option, so thanks for reminding me of it.

Thanks for your help again.
