Hi,

Were in the market for some Student laptops - I've been quoted the HP 255 G7 Series, has anyone used these and found them suitable for Students?

Thanks

You can't replace the keyboards yourself. An HP engineer has to do it and it costs over £300! It is part of the chassis. If you don't mind that, they are great little units.

Wow!!that is really good to know! Thank you.

Pretty much guaranteed that we will need to do this going off previous laptops.

Would you know if that's the case for all 250 series or just the cheaper 255 series?

Both 250 and 255 as all the model refers to is Intel and AMD respectively.

I've replaced the keyboard part of one of these before, it's not something I'd ever recommend nor anything I'd want to do again!

Good to know!.

Might have to steer clear of this model then.

Any recommendations for other Vendors? I've used Lenovo Thinkpads for Staff over the past several years with no complaints. I guess they should hold up OK for student use?
