GDPR in schools vs gdpr.co.uk

We are looking at how we deliver GDPR training and now potentially buying into a service to help us manage data flows, complete DPIAs etc.

 

We have seen GDPR.co.uk is £495 for secondaries and GDPR in schools seems to offer a similar service.

 

Has anyone experience of both of these systems? Any that they feel is an improvement on the other?

 

I will be arranging demo's but useful to get the views of people using the systems already.

We use GDPR.co.uk and it’s great.

 

Not only is it used for staff training but to record all data flows in our school, any breaches, etc.

 

Well worth the money in my opinion.

Thanks @eddyc Do gdpr.co.uk do differentiated training? Eg admin, teacher, governor etc or is it one module for all?

Last time we did the training it was one module for all but I think it’s now split out

You are right tj2419 to be looking for different data protection training for your staff.

Your kitchen staff may handle biometric data, dietary needs and medical allergies, whilst teachers in the classroom might only manage curriculum data, names and classes.

The important thing is to train each group using scenarios which mean something to them. How often do we experience 'generic' training which becomes totally irrelevant and boring?

I'm sure you all know about it but just in case - the 2nd generation of the DfE group which wrote the GDPR Toolkit for Schools has a website which has loads of free resources and more added daily. There's some good stuff here.
