Using Hyperoptic Fibre Broadband 150mbs and I can count on one hand the number of times the broadband has gone down and most of that has been due to planned maintenance which they inform you of. Also their support is fantastic not the usual "the signal is terrible because of the walls". They are able to use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues with your router to the switch they have installed in the building which is great. Been with them for five years now and definitely the best broadband provider I have ever been with hands down.

Lots of VM customers on here paying way over the odds - you need to speak to retentions!

 

Retentions will at the very least match new customer offers - you're all on different speeds so just check the VM website.

 

Indeed, I had a moan at VM the last time they hiked my prices. I threatened to leave so they gave me a "special deal", which I suspect they give to everyone who threatens to leave. At the moment I'm paying £22 a month for what was originally for 50mbit but got put up to 100mbit about three months ago without me asking.

I have ADSL (ughhhh) as it's all I can get where I live - It's a new build estate (2015) in the centre of a city, but BT weren't obligated to provide anything higher at the time.

 

Fibre is coming but it keeps getting pushed back. However, I live within line of sight of a 4g tower & I've been tethering to my mobile a lot - I can get 120mb over 4g at night, 60/70 in the day.

 

Debating switching entirely over to 4g mobile broadband, but keeping the adsl as a backup
