Our music department uses cubase with the pupils to produce music. when the pupils save their work and come back to it the next lesson it's not always there. The Pupils say they are definatly saving the work and they're definatly saving it in the right locations. Has anyone else had similar trouble with cubase on a network and if so do you have a solution.

Check your pool setup as the project file will not contain any recorded/imported audio files. However you should at least be able to open the project and see errors relating to the missing pool content.

Ive had this problem with 2 or 3 kids this over the year, but no solution. The files which they say has lost all its data is completley empty, not cuorrupted, all I can think of is that they have saved a blank file over their old file or they've some how cleared all their work. I cant replicate the problem and as it only seems to affect a few kids I recover their file from the previous nights backup.
