Both teams would struggle in the English Prem

I said exactly the same watching the game last night. I think the actual phrase was: "Scottish teams would get repeatedly ass-raped in the English Premier League..."

The only thing exciting about Scottish football is... erm .... uh .... someone help me out here.... . .

... when they play the English! :D:D

Isn't it the case that the Scots when fighting (I mean playing football) against each other are rubbish - but put them against the English and it's game on!! :D

I would love to see 'gers and the hoops playing in the prem except the rest of football in Scotland would collapse in a heap

I love that line in trainspotting:

Some people hate the English, but I don't. They're just w@nkers. We, on the other hand, are colonized by w@nkers. We can't even pick a decent culture to be colonized by. We are ruled by effete @rseholes. It's a sh1te state of affairs and all the fresh air in the world will not make any f*cking difference.

Exeter City returned to the Football League after a five-year absence with a narrow play-off final win over Cambridge United at Wembley.

The Devon club dominated the first half and took a deserved lead when Rob Edwards nodded home Dean Moxey's inswinging corner on 21 minutes.

Watch out Janners - we're coming to get ya! :D:p

The people that usually say Celtic would suffer in the Premier League usually watch second rate premier league teams who are afraid losing their place in the money to much larger scotish sides.

wouldnt mind them kinda of testing it by having a mini friendly cup in the summer when there is no major internation tournament...i think celtic and rangers would afare well in the premier league...they did beat united a season or so ago didnt they? nakamura!

They would be average sides in the Premiership, I mean Rangers couldn't even win the micky mouse version of the Champions league what chance do they have of beating United!

Once Celtic and Rangers started getting the income the English premier leage delivers, they would be pushing for the top 3 within a few seasons.

I dunno the exact figures but its something like £10million a season each team in the EPL gets.

The SPL deal nets £1million between the whole 12 teams

Sorry, but nut. When you look at the quality of the top 4 of Liverpool, Chelski, Man Utd and Arsenal, and compare them to Rangers (who got outclassed by an ailing Aberdeen team) and Celtic (who didn't exactly run away with the league), they'd get taken to school week in, week out. Even with the argument of "once the revenues start rolling in", you can't buy trophies. Case in point - Chelsea.

Then there's the travelling...
