also... you live in a better place... I think I should move!

A different place definatly but whether its better or not depends on your viewpoint, I find some of the prices that you guys get for electronic gear insane as on some items like servers and TVs can work out at half the price that we have to pay down here.

10 stone and 6ft 1? That's nearly invisible, isn't it?!!

Some days I wish that were true as then the teachers would not be able to find me :) Unfortunately they always seem to manage I must check my stuff for tracking tags when i get back in to work on Monday to see if they have been cheating.

Occasionally I go on a random 15km mission through the bush / forest (water catchment area) near my house that may also account for my ability to eat rubbish food all day and not really fain weight.

That statement at the top on the previous page is a load of rubbish. I eat like a horse and cant seem to put on weight. I have been around the 10.5 stone mark for the last 5 years, am 6ft 1 tall and skinny. I think that they are on about the americans.

I have the same issue. I eat about 4000 calories a day and don't put weight on. It has taken me 2 years to put 1 stone on. I'm now 12 stone, but being 6' 3" makes me skinny still.

Yup same issue here, eat and eat and eat and never put an ounce on :D

Is there anyone not over 6' on this thread....i'm starting to get a complex about my height when i'm surrounded by six-footers ;-)

I'm around 5'10 but i swear i've lost half an inch off my normal standing height because of my beer belly and sloaching aswell as being bent over a lot of the time when i'm on the computer has affected the curvature of my spine.

Tell me something I didn't know.

From /.

"While technologies such as virtualization, multi-threading, and blade servers have made the data center leaner, those who work there are getting... well... not leaner. According to a new study by CareerBuilder.com, 34 percent of IT workers say they have gained more than ten pounds in their current jobs. And 16 percent say they've gained at least twice that. The culprits seem to be the stressful-yet-sedentary nature of tech work coupled with our famously poor eating habits. According to the survey, some 41 percent of IT workers eat out for lunch twice or more per week, making portion and calorie control difficult. Eleven percent buy their lunch out of a vending machine at least once a week."

I must admit, on another forum I am on they often debate height (vs various other things from weight and shoe size to the supposedly ever on-going debated about mans "tool" ;)) Most people on the other forum are below 6ft and shreek and moan when we come on and say were 6ft+ but is it the IT guys are normally below 6ft I wonder?

i think we can stop short (no pun intended) of comparing the size of each others wang.

I should have said that I was meaning with the 6ft comment height of the person not man's wang, that would be rather impressive a 6ft wang let alone a 5ft one! :o

Ahem...Those of you who are tall and thin - are you all very young?

Because if you are - the weight will catch up with you eventually....

And I really think we *should* stop short of comparing the size of other parts of the anatomy!
