PS4 Pro 1TB + 2 games £249 @ Argos

So, this is the price that I've been waiting for, but...

 

 

• I currently have a backlog of PS3 games, with little time to play
  
• Unlikely to get a 4K/HDR TV unless current TV breaks down (Pro was future-proofing)
  
• I think times will be getting tight for all of us soon
  
• PS5 said to be backwards compatible with the couple of games I already have (but not with the controller/stand) - though wouldn't buy a 1st gen PS5
  

 

What do I do?

Depends ....

 

a) Would you be able to wait a few more years for PS5 to mature, and if its truly backward compatible to PS4 then play all the old games with enhanced graphics?

b) You only live once, buy the Pro now and enjoy Uncharted, Horizon, GT Sport and Death Stranding

c) However..Xbox One X is the best for Back compatibility, plays a quite few Xbox360 and Xbox Gen 1 games, pretty cool

a) Possibly in terms of the wait, definitely in terms of the graphics (and it will only be a couple of games) - I was quite happy on the PS1 last time I had to look after aged P on my own. If PS3 doesn't die, I wouldn't feel distraught to skip a generation.

 

b) Death Stranding would be one of the freebies! I am seriously worried that things are going to take a very bad turn for "ordinary" folk soon, though.

 

c) I know that, but PS has many more exclusives that I'm interested in.

Yes please, either a few days into the future so I can grab the Euromillions numbers, or a couple of years into the future so that I check I won't need that £250 for food.

Well I was just surprised you could get a PS5 for that money with 2 games when it hadn't been released yet.
