Hi all,

Just wondering if there is a way that I can set up a machine to only work with a certain log on.

sorry, thats not very clear. Basically i have a user who resuses to use the right log on for a machine so i want to force her to but the logon has to be active directory based, not local

any ideas

Does she need more then 1 logon? If there are local accounts that she has compromised then get rid/rename of the compromised accounts and reset all passwords.

When you say "refuses to use the right logon" do you mean she has alogon which she would use on most machines but on this one you want her to use a different logon? If so, can I ask why?

Just intrigued as to what you're trying to achieve and what this person thinks they're doing!

basically she was lgging on to 3 machines with the same roaming profile, this was causing problems so we want to stop her logging on to 2 out of the 3 machines with her user name and then set up different user accounts for the other 2 machines

In Active Directory find the username of this person, go into properties and the account tab. Click the Log On To... box and specify the computers that you want her to log on to,

or alternatively there is an option to stop multiple logs ons, can't remember where it is though....

Odd situation you're in... ppl often want to do the opposite i.e. have 1 account so administration is easier. Mind if i ask what problems was her profile causing?
