All keystrokes and web activity on school computers is being constantly monitored.

All key presses and web activity on school computers is being constantly monitored!

I know which I prefer.

But apparently there are too many teacher's who don't know what a keystroke is!

"All keyboard use (both physical and on screen) is logged"?

errr

when someone says 'teachers' then the person I think about has GCSEs (OK 'O' levels in my case) and 'A' levels and a degree - often plus post graduate qualifications

and as a professional they are expected to keep up with changes on a constant basis

so how hard can it be for them to learn a new word - I mean some of us had to learn stuff like Internet and WWW - and I managed that

reminds me of something my tutor said at University when I was starting my PGCE - at the time people doing the same thing in England had to take a test to prove they were at a specific level in their use of English

In Wales they had no such test - the explanation was that over the next 9 months we would be submitting an essay (normally several pages long) every week or so and there was a dissertation (many pages long) at the end. If they couldn;t determine whether or not we were good enough at English based on all those essays then they were not marking it very well!

I think "Keyboard use and web activity".

Surely everyone will know what that means!

I will run it past our DPO (again) ;)

Do you monitor this kind of keyboard use?

Haven't seen this in years! Not quite sure why it popped into my head just now.

Keystroke is fine. Don't change the wording because some people say they're beyond help, educate them (heh).

If something happens and they end up in court trying to get something dismissed because they didn't understand the word, they'd be found guilty of lack of intelligence and integrity before anything else.
