Microsoft intune MDM

Hi

 

We are not a iPad school , but we have around 10 iPads and my not go more than these ipads.

We are with 0365 and I was told that Microsoft has intune MDM .

 

Has any one has experience using this MDM solution and is it free for schools.

We use it here to manage about 250 iPads total. Took a bit of setting up, but found it very reliable and very happy with it.

Cost is a big factor for us, it's not free, but if you buy your staff equivalent then you get the student for free, so very cheap.

The fact it's managed through office 365 is also a big bonus.

Be interested to see how this works and any issues, as we're in the same boat with needing a proper MDM.

We have a few hundred ipads on it. You pay FTE, for staff, and then get as many licences included free, so more cost effective for us than other solutions. Seems as good/bad as all the others to me!

Interesting. We currently don't have any iPads (yay) but soon will (boo) so I'm new to this game. Hope you don't mind me asking a couple of questions....

 

1. Are your iPads used on a 1:1 basis or are they shared between users?
   
2. How do you backup work created on iPad apps such as Garageband?
   
3. If devices are shared, how do you switch between users?
