Hi guys,

Mates has asked me a question today and if i am honest i dont know the answer.

Can you take course material or little cards to help you when sitting the exam.. or do you just go in there pen and pencil and sit it.

I persume you can't

But he said from looking at it like the Command Prompt Command inputs theres loads which i know there is he said he might find it hard to like remeber all the commands.

i know thats only one example but he did give me a few.

So does he jst have to remember as many as he can and just hope the ones he remembers are there or does he have to make sure he knows the answers to questions of the top of his head.

Just wondering

Cheers

I don't know the actual answer to this specifically, but I'd be VERY surprised if crib sheets of any kind were allowed.

It kind of defeats the object of having an exam! They're banned from all the exams that I can think of.

Exams where cribs are allowed are usually described as "open book"... maybe that helps.

Yh thats what i thought, but just thought i would ask the question.

What do you mean by CRIBs sorry..

does it mean like i have a book of some sort to help you, and the exam sheet but both are supplied by the exam board when u take it?/

When I took the A+ Certification Exams in 2003, I wasn't allowed to take anything into the exam room, other than the 2 sheets of paper and a pen to make notes (this was supplied by the testing centre)

All online technical exams that I have taken in the past (Microsoft etc) have all been the same, although most testing sites now supply you with an erasable A4 whiteboard and pen.

Hope this helps...

So basically i would say to him, just try and remember as much as u can as best as you can. revise as much as u can but dnt over do it and give it ur best shot

When I took my exams last year, you had to hand in everything prior to the exam, you are provided with a white board\notepad and pen when you begin the exam, however the rules as of last year clearly stated that you cannot take anything in with you. At the end of the day, is he gonna carry answer cards with him when he's in the field to every possible scenario that he may come across?

Not meaning to sound harsh, but that’s the long and short of it. Best of luck to him…..

Might be worth getting him to concentrate on the most common commands i.e ping, ipconfig etc and make sure he gets those spot on?

Good luck from me also! :)
