Hi all,

 

I'm sorry if this has been posted in the wrong forum, but does anyone know what happened to Booking Pro please? I can't find any record of the company who originally wrote the software, and will need to migrate the database I have to a new server soon. Have they gone bust, or been absorbed by another?

The software died a long time ago however you can still buy the licensing from the new parent company but don’t buy the support, they try and sell it but the developers are long gone.

 

It’s full of issues with new win 10 OS and Office but I’ve done a good job frigging it to still work... just...

Hi Tefters, what issue's did you have? We are imminently moving to a Windows 10 network.

Booking Pro has been replaced by the Lettings Module from Tucasi. (Part of School Cash Office I believe)

I am trying to move to a 2016 server, and have managed it, but the backup doesn't work: Invalid object name 'trace_xe_action_map' on backup and a memory exception when it has lots of memory on restore... Any ideas?

The backup is borked and has been since Windows 8.

Its just an SQL database which I have backed up nightly through Veeam as its on a VM so just advise users to ignore the backup and click don't backup.

 

Also when using the booking pro client with a new version of Office, 2013 or above, then you will encounter an error when exporting a report or receipt (something like that) and have to disable to advanced option for "safe mode document" in Word or something like that. Can't remember off top of my head but could dig out my notes if needed.
