Shadow_Walker Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Is it possible to add external people into an office 365 distribution group?
ShellfishClive Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Couldn't you create a contact within your organisation and add that to the group?
Shadow_Walker Posted June 27, 2019 Author Posted June 27, 2019 Couldn't you create a contact within your organisation and add that to the group? Done that but the users never shows up to add in office 365 or the exchange admin centre when adding them to groups.
Atomic_Zombie Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 Adding a contact is how I've added added external people to dist lists, just tried it in O365 and it's giving me the option. See Image

Edu-IT Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 It may take time. I’ve always created contacts and added them.

Shadow_Walker Posted June 27, 2019 Author Posted June 27, 2019 Do they show in the contacts list? Yes they load fine in the contacts list.
ShellfishClive Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Very strange, I've just created one and it showed up in a matter of minutes. I'm not sure what your issue is, how are you creating the contact?
Passat1983ICTech Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 add the user in to the contact then add contacts to the group should work fine then
Atomic_Zombie Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Are you using the New or Old Admin interface? have you tried using the other?
