harry Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Hi everybody, wonder if you guys have any idea where i can get a generic remote control for an Epson EBG-7905 projector? I have had ours mounted in our sports hall (not gonna big myself up, but it looks awesome.), however, I am hesitant to leave the remote for them to lose, or even worse, change all my settings. Like i said, just a natty remote that they can control the power will suffice. Thanks for any help. Cheers Harry
steveg Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 The vision techconnect remotes are good, but are pretty pricey.
LeMarchand Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Is it iR? How about a cheapo "learning" remote? This one is ugly enough not to be "borrowed": https://www.amazon.co.uk/Universal-Remote-Learning-Capability-Orange-yellow/dp/B004W2VFME One of my sites disposed of a few Epson remotes last week - I assume most functions are generic.
SamanthaD Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 RS232 panel. You can get cheap and cheerful ones easy enough, all hardwired so never any batteries to change and only give the users the functions you want them to have. 1
theeggmaster Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 I buy these. Cheap, decent quality with good buttons and programmable to any projector. I have one set up as a backup to the hall projector remote as it will, one day, go missing.
neonetman Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 I used KPMS Commercial to buy replacement remotes - may be worth seeing if they do a cheap compatible one
harry Posted June 14, 2019 Author Posted June 14, 2019 Wow, I didn't expect this many responses on a friday afternoon. Thanks guys for the responses, i'll get finance to order me a nice yellow universal one that way they can't lose it.

I've tried TV learning remotes in the past and it couldn't 'learn' the projector codes, which is why I went for the universal projector remote that I linked to.
