SteveLaw Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 (edited) Hi, I'm having a problem with JSN Imageshow Pro in this package. I was getting errors, but I fixed those by changing the permissions on the xmldata files (and maybe some others). Now I get "Loading Slideshow Image" and nothing happens. I also can't figure out how to change the settings of the module (although the paths in the data files look right). Thanks for any pointers. Edited July 21, 2008 by SteveLaw

mike_jupp Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 I have a problem with any version of joomla over 1.5.2, it just won't install on my host either linux or windows based but both using PLesk 8.3. Is it possible to move all the school related bits to version 1.5.2?

I have installed both 1.5.3 and 1.5.4 on each server more than once, I have configured automatically and I have configured manually but all to no avail. I can get 1.5.4 working on my local server so I don't think it's anything I am doing. As I can get 1.5.2 working on my remote servers my original question was, can I move the school bits easily from the 1.5.3 version and put them on 1.5.2. Is it as easy as copying the templates folder and the joomla.sql file over. Changed my FTP client and it all went right! Edited September 13, 2008 by mike_jupp problem solved

Although the package was 'legal' for educational use, the download could be accessed by anyone and there was no way of ensuring that it was not being used on non-educational sites. I have read reports that some people were re-selling the package for upwards of £100 even to schools!

mike_jupp Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 In the UK it is easy to verify that someone is working in education as their email will be of the form ..sch.uk is there a similar scheme elsewhere? This would be a way of supplying a package to education people. Mike
