Looking for IWB supplier recommendations

Good day Edugeeks,

 

We are looking at a whole-site refresh of our classroom interactive boards here. We are looking to replace with 65" interactive flat panels. Currently a SMART school so looking at SMART and alternatives that can handle Notebook files.

 

Just wondering if any of you have any recommendations for good suppliers/installers who cover the Southern England area?

 

Also, any recommendations (or otherwise!) on panels to consider.

Interested to know what peoples thoughts are. We have a couple of Promethean boards but one gives us a lot of trouble. We demo'd the new Epson interactive projector as was very pleased with it as long as you don't have it anywhere with direct sunlight.

If budget allows it forget projectors for anything other than needing an extremely large image, think halls and performances.

We use Prowise Boards and have been slowly rolling them out across the whole school. It was decided to splash the cash and include PC modules so that the classrooms become totally self contained. Hardware is nice, and the options to have adjustable wall stands are really nice considering our range of users can be from barely off the floor to the towering bean pole!

 

Support can be a bit interesting as their support centre is in the Netherlands, but we have always had things sorted.

We're using bog standard iiYama 65" touch panels. They're meeting room screens really, but at the end of the day, they've been the cheapest reliable touchscreen available for us.

 

We've had installation by AVPartsmaster and also CC Communications. The former was cheaper, the latter do buy back of old boards etc.

@crc-ict ... Sure you have already, but when I was pricing up, I factored in the annual Smart Notebook subscription, it was a bit eye watering. We've done a few from old SB680's to flat panels where we were running an old version of notebook.
