Windows version: Win_Pro_Ent_Edu_N_10_1803_64BIT_English_-2_MLF_X21-79647

Tried typing WMPLayer but just gave me web links.

Have now installed VLC as presume WM player doesn't exist on Win 10.

Windows Media Player does exist on Win 10, i have it.

The "N" build of Windows 10 deliberately excludes Windows' media playing capabilities, to comply with "antitrust" rulings.

The normal build contains WMP 12. You can "re-enable" the features by installing the Windows 10 Media Feature Pack.

Ah!

OK, nice one Microsoft! Now you've forced me to use a 3rd party app.

Thanks guys, I'll stick with VLC then.

IIRC you're better off with VLC in W10 as stock WMP won't play DVDs any more.

Hi,

it was just a version they were already using when I joined the school so tried to keep everything compatible and easy to manage. Will probably have to re-load all the PCs this summer as some are still on Win 7.

Which is the best version to go for for a school? We have EES so I think we have most available to us.
