I have a primary school that would like all the class teachers to have access to the books in Amazon.

Thinking through the process in my head I can already see a few pit falls.

Should each teacher have their own account or do we have one school account?

How are books purchased, shared credit card, one of those pre paid cards?

Are there any other schools that have already set this up and can you offer any advice?

I Have it set up so there is one Admin Account and then other users have there own account. Also have Purchase policies in line with this, so your line manager has to approve the purchase etc. Edited by Jcx500

we have this for our offices. i remember there being a big kerfuffle about VAT in the first few months as you can only claim back on sellers marked BUSINESS PREFERED or something.

It's fairly obvious which items you can/can't claim back VAT on. e.g.

I think this is the reason our bursar limited the number of requestors to just the people who work in the IT department, since teachers are less likely to pick the items you can claim VAT back on. :)

Amazon used to be a lot worse as so many sellers didnt issue VAT invoices but they have been trying to clear it up a bit.

There is a now an option where you are prevented from purchasing any items without VAT invoice. Im pretty sure it stops the user - it definitely prompts the user -it does for me after i set it up, not brought anything yet.
