Hi All

 

My two primary schools are interested in the certification that https://nationalonlinesafety.com are offering.

 

Just wondering if any schools are certified and wouldn't mind being contacted by my establishments to discuss certification benefits etc. before they go ahead.

Personally, I’d stick with SWGfL and UKSIC rather than a commercial business

I'm afraid I can't comment as I've not had any direct contact with them; I don't know who is creating the content they are sharing.

 

It might be worth looking at the UKCIS external visitors guidance; although they aren't coming into schools to speak to children, the guidance does pose some questions which might be helpful to explore further.

I'd be interested to hear more from anyone who has used their services as the content does look very useful ...

SWGfL isn't doing it for me (their 360Safe certification is about policy not training staff) & I haven't found anything else that is anything like the NOS offering ...

 

Does anyone have anything positive to say about NOS?

No, I rank them among the tabloids and about as trustworthy as such. Yeah some stuff is useful, but so was some of the stuff on Sparklebox....

Have you seen Parent Zone?

 

I went to one of their courses and it was really good, common sense, not just telling kids to say no to everything. Their Parent info is good and we have their feed showing on our website. They also have done a big link with Google, producing the Be Internet Legends resources, and Vodafone to produce a magazine.
