Bromcom_Hus Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 Hi steveo2000, Yes - development and testing happening- as we are aimed, we are trying to be in position to release this sprint (release date: 3rd June). If we cannot completed everything and not ready to be released - then it will be definitely released in next sprint (release date: 24th June). Either way not long left Thanks Hus Hi All, Looks like my last post deleted - not sure why - I will keep it short this time. As you have asked - release of new alerts feature happening this week. You can get more details in our release update via usual channels Thanks Hus 1
steveo2000 Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Just checking out the new alerts system, looks good. However how do we add custom reasons for alerts? We use it primarily for a pastoral incident when i teacher needs a member of the pastoral team during a lesson to come up, there doesn't seem to be this option. Thanks

We currently do not have CUSTOM ALERT TYPES in the system. At this stage, we did move current WINDOWS BASED ALERT CLIENT to web/mobile app based. In future updates, we can look into this. I will take a note and send to the product team to look into this. Feel free to raise development ideas within ideas portal for any feature requests. Thanks Hus
steveo2000 Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Hello, 2 Questions: Do you have a link to the development ideas form please? Also we've been using the Alerts system this morning and a number of staff have said it sends a notifcation email to there school and personal email, is there a way of turning this off just so it does to the school one. Thanks!
supportman Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 (edited) For the ideas portal, there is a link on the main Bromcom support site. The dedicated URL is: Bromcom Ideas Portal (bromcomcloud.com) There doesnt seem to be much progress on the main ideas yet but hopefully soon. Edited June 6, 2022 by supportman
paulkerton Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Really pleased to see alerts has come to the browser tools now. Will definitely be tinkering with this in the next few weeks!
malbox Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 In the hope that replying directly will prompt - we're also experiencing the "staff receiving to work and personal e-mail addresses" issue. I have created an idea to correct here: https://ideas.bromcomcloud.com/ideas/BRCM-I-2727 Couple of other things: When using multiple tabs (which is standard with Bromcom) - you don't always get the "Close" cross in all tabs - at least, certainly not in chrome. It seems to always take you to the "log" of alerts when clicking to close. What would be REALLY helpful is if the log of alerts was viewable as a standalone page that refreshed regularly (every minute?) rather than a popover - this would make it far more useful for roaming call outs - they could carry round a tablet with that page open and have them come in (the slight delay would likely not be an issue) and mean they wouldn't need to deal with the popups on the right. They could just monitor for them on that page - and it would mean not having to have a fake staff member set up to be logged in (it is not always the same person roaming). (And, if I'm dreaming, the option to either put a comment or "Dealt with" check next to an alert) 1

Regarding to other feedbacks, please raise idea and we will look into it. Our initial release aimed to move WINDOWS BASED ALERT CLIENT system to be WEB and MOBILE APP based - which Mobile App is aimed to be released tomorrow/Friday as well which will start to receive the alerts as push notifications, if you are Alert Watcher. So, when you install Teacher App to your mobile or tablet, you will be notified via push notification, and by using "View Alerts" page you can access all the recent alerts in the system. Thanks again for the feedback, much appreciated. Thanks Hus
