Hi malbox, Work email issue is fixed and we are aiming to release tonight or tomorrow latest. Regarding to other feedbacks, please raise idea and we will look into it. Our initial release aimed to move WINDOWS BASED ALERT CLIENT system to be WEB and MOBILE APP based - which Mobile App is aimed to be released tomorrow/Friday as well which will start to receive the alerts as push notifications, if you are Alert Watcher. So, when you install Teacher App to your mobile or tablet, you will be notified via push notification, and by using "View Alerts" page you can access all the recent alerts in the system. Thanks again for the feedback, much appreciated. Thanks Hus

Hi Steve, that's correct. We currently do not have CUSTOM ALERT TYPES in the system. At this stage, we did move current WINDOWS BASED ALERT CLIENT to web/mobile app based. In future updates, we can look into this. I will take a note and send to the product team to look into this. Feel free to raise development ideas within ideas portal for any feature requests. Thanks Hus

Hi All, Looks like my last post deleted - not sure why - I will keep it short this time. As you have asked - release of new alerts feature happening this week. You can get more details in our release update via usual channels Thanks Hus

Hi steveo2000, Yes - development and testing happening- as we are aimed, we are trying to be in position to release this sprint (release date: 3rd June). If we cannot completed everything and not ready to be released - then it will be definitely released in next sprint (release date: 24th June). Either way not long left Thanks Hus

Hi, Absolutely yes! New Alert System will Alert Group Members, and memberships will be managed from a page under Setup, and it each member will be able to configured by alert type (as of today we have 6 types). By default, everyone will be notified via web notification (via windows/browser once they activated on the machines they have logged in to MIS once) and Push Notifications (via Teacher App - if they have installed on their mobile) - we like to also introduce "Email Alerts" into the same release, where system will send email notification as well to their work email address. Happy to discuss further in detail and involve you guys in earlier stages before release. Feel free to email me directly and show your interest.

Hi All, and sorry. I was on annual leave We are aiming to have the new alert system in place for the mid-May update. Not next update, but the one after. Surely, that depends to all expected developments and testing to be completed. With new alert system, it's not going to be web alert/notification, but also teachers who uses Teacher App (or logged onto teacher app) will be informed via push notifications, and (IF we can fit in), also send email alert. So trying to cover all aspects - if whatever reason web notifications turned off (as user can do via windows settings) - push notification and email can still a way to alert people. Emails may not sound quick enough, BUT it could be handy if BROWSER AND MOBILE PUSH NOFICATIONS turned off by the user - intentionally or unintentionally. I hope above makes sense. Thanks Hus

Hi Jaan, yes we are trailing the new platform, who allows Customer Services Teams to post updates or any incidents that are not covered by APM end points.

From teachers perspective nothing will change in Bromcom. Currently, they can send alert via TeacherApp or within MIS from any page by clicking their profile picture and select "Send Alert". We are replacing the alert client requirement on PC. Rather than install the client on PC - when user login to MIS for the first time on the browser that "Web Notification" is not registered, MIS will prompt the user a message to register, and they have to click "Allow" button on browser, like any other web application asks to register the browser. These users will be prompted to register for push notification if they are approved within MIS permissions area. I hope the above makes sense

Moving e-Timetable client to web is in our backlog, but I cannot say "very soon" yet. Roadmap page is currently under review, it will be made available as part of what's new page very soon.

Hi Jaan, I am pleased to inform that, we are in the process of replacing the Bromcom Alerts client application with web push notifications very soon. We did recently move Behaviour Pathways client to web and now we are working on Alerts clients.

True. It was not available for some of the SSO users.

Degraded Performance relates to the response times, rather than failure of functionality (i.e. SSO). Regarding to 10% benchmark, that's not related to customer base but configured monitor agents that polls the web application and collects the stats throughout the UK. I appreciate your feedback that you are not happy that you are not informed every issue via status page, but status page is designed to measure "availability" and "response performance", it is not designed to report every incident (currently), surely these feedbacks will be discussed internally and we will see how can be improved. Meanwhile, we will continue to inform the users with such incidents via email like we did yesterday, until we improve in this area.

Happy to elaborate on the points that does not make sense.

Thanks for the feedbacks everyone. I like to clear few confusions around our status page. Our status page is not updated manually, so first of all apologies about the previous response given to you by our support team. The page is linked to independent monitoring tool that measures the platform's availability and response speeds. Availability monitor and speed checks are done every minute by the monitoring software with 100+ agent monitors through the UK and pushes the data to monitoring software and results are reflected within the the status page: There are configured triggers in place based on 100+ agent monitor stats collected, and results reflected automatically within status page - some basic triggers are as follow: - if the system is not accessible by 10% or more monitors in last 5 attempts (with 1 minute interval checks) - then Major Outage status created automatically - if the system is not accessible by 10% or less monitors in last 5 attempts (with 1 minute interval checks) - then Minor Outage status created automatically - if the system is accessible by all monitors, but response times that received are higher than usual, then system checks how long this slow response continues, if more than 10 minutes for 50% of more agent monitors, then system automatically set Degraded Performance status. The incidents you may have experienced in the past may not reach to the level to active the above triggers or the incidents were specific to your databases. Today's incident related to SSO authentication was not an outage, it was not effected all users, and system was operational. When software bug identified that may effect many users, our Customer Services department send email out to inform all IT Managers, Data Managers and registered contacts in our CRM system. Our status page is not designed to report about bugs or specific/local issues. Today at 8.29am, email sent out from Customer Services to inform about this issue, and 8.52am another email sent out to all users to confirm that issue is resolved. We will take on board all your comments and feedbacks where possible and operationally viable. Meanwhile, I hope this explains how our status page functions, and clears that it is not manually updated by someone at Bromcom.
