O365: Skype enabled for students but license turned off.

As it says, Students seem to now have access to Skype although the license for it in O365 is turned off.

Anyone had this? I cannot see anywhere I can turn it off. Doe activating teams overwrite this?

Do they have to Skype (the consumer product) that is not part of O365, or are you talking about Skype for Business (which is a part of O365)

Skype for business license is turned off. No other Skype product present. They still seem to be getting skype availability. Really weird

I'm really sorry to crack open the seal on this ancient thread, but does anyone have a solution for this? Unbelievably, we've only just noticed it (or rather the kids have only just found it...)

Skype is not licensed, but thanks to Teams, they can still chat in Skype... we could disable the app of course, but that doesn't help on personal devices...

Thanks to Skype phones, we can't change the coexistence mode yet...

Thank you in advance

What phones do you have most phones that are Skype for Business certified will support teams for a couple of years only the Polycom CX series are not teams supported but VVX's are as are Yealink and Audiocodes ones. We are running Teams only mode for a number of users (on a staged migration) on VVX's and all seem fine (well as fine as a VVX is which is not for this thread!)
