Anyone heard of or using Admissions+

My Ho6th contacted me today to say that we've bought into this and I've done x, y and z but might need some help with a, b and c! They want the perspective new Yr 12s for 19/20 to apply online this year. Seems OK but being chucked into this, I don't know really know to much other than a couple screens she showed me.

We used this during 6 form enrolment this year, and had no end of problems with the website. In the end most of the staff doing the enrolment ended up using paper. Some of the problems we had were as follows.

 

Would not work in internet explorer ( not a bad thing really )

Website kept timing out

Information for course not being displayed correctly.

 

But I must admit the support team did seem to know what they were doing and managed to get most of our problems ironed out pretty quickly.

So what can it do? Online applications but we already have those using Google Forms. Can it help with Timetabling?

I am not sure if it can help with that, as our data manager and head of 6th form still use nova to do timetabling. To me it just looks like it is for managing admissions and everything associated with that process.

We had a demo of this 6 months ago, it looked ok from the outset but for the cost... and I can't remember exactly what it was we decided a bit of manual labour was worth continuing doing.
