Hi there,

is there a digital tester that will continously test a cable for a period of time instead of the bog standard testers that just test the once and then you have to keep pressing the button to restart the test?

Hope that makes sense?

Thanks

I've also recently got a pockethernet, but not really used it much yet. It uses your mobile phone as the display (via bluetooth). It can show an IP address from dhcp, as well as lldp info and bit error rate. Also has a few other features.

I have a fluke Linkrunner the 2011 version. it was left over from when we ran cisco. it can get an ip address (dhcp) and ping it. But for most cable diagnostics I prefer my Fluke 620 LAN cablemeter.
