Andrew_C Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 I am the child who rocked on his chair and cracked their skull that your teacher warned you about in school. There really is someone?
dcwhitworth Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Happy Birthday for Thursday But how were you using a computer in the 70s??? (or was it one of those PET things - I first used one of them at Uni in the 80s) It was an ICL Maximop with a teletype terminal. My Dad took me into work during the school holiday and plonked me in front of some programs some of the students had written. 1
mikeprice Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 I'm not actually a Dalek This needs to be reported Lying on EduGeek!!! 1
mikeprice Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 I am the child who rocked on his chair and cracked their skull that your teacher warned you about in school. When I was 'in the classroom' I wasn't all that worried about their head - the chairs where I was has a habit of the legs snapping On one occasion I saw a kid leaning back on his (it was always a boy!!) chair and the leg snapped leaving a very sharp steel tube pointing upwards as the kid fell backwards The sharp bit missed his kidneys by a fraction cleaning all the blood off the carpet would have been a right pain!!
Katy Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 When I was 'in the classroom' I wasn't all that worried about their head - the chairs where I was has a habit of the legs snapping I thought this was heading to a "they had no budget to replace broken chairs" when I started reading, not "the sharp tube causes a bloodbath"!
mikeprice Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 But WHICH STATEMENT is the lie? well that is a good question personally I think he/it is up to something and is trying to start a campaign to re-rehabilitate himself as a 'normal person' rather than the leader of cult set on destroying all intelligent life in the Universe 1
mikeprice Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 I thought this was heading to a "they had no budget to replace broken chairs" when I started reading, not "the sharp tube causes a bloodbath"! Yeah - but the 'sharp tube causes a a bloodbath' is FAR more interesting than a boring old budget thingy 1
azureusnation Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Which weird fact do you want from me... too many to choose from!
SamanthaD Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 Did your brain on a chain tell you on your last day? Posts like this need so much more than a "Thank" option! New keyboard needed....
6Foot2 Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 Posts like this need so much more than a "Thank" option!... There is the option to add Rep (Reputation) To add Rep, click on the star after 'Send PM'
DJ-1701 Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 There is the option to add Rep (Reputation) To add Rep, click on the star after 'Send PM' Though I will point out that if you Thank someone before clicking on the Star it won't work. As they are one of the last people you have given Rep to, in the smaller form of Thanks. If you unthank them, then click the star, add your comment, click ok (and ironically you an re-thank them after this), you could give them the additional Rep points.

howartp Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Took me and dad an hour to find the power button on our first family PC (Packard Bell), then the rest of the day to get from MS-DOS into Windows.
