David44 Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 We, like I expect many schools, have two domains, schoolname.longcountyname.sch.uk and schoolname.org.uk. We use the second one almost but not quite exclusively. All users still has both available to use as an email address. That is to say, [email protected] and [email protected] both work and go to the same mailbox. Have other schools replicated this behaviour when using G Suite? I assume it must be possible but I can't find anything that says it is. So, users would log in to G Suite with [email protected] but they would receive emails sent to [email protected] and [email protected] Thanks. David.
Primus Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Yes you can add additional domains just for email aliases - they're called domain aliases. 1
David44 Posted May 22, 2018 Author Posted May 22, 2018 Yes, we are/will be syncing with our on site AD.
FN-GM Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 You will need to add them into a proxyAddresses in AD and then configure the sync utility. I put them in the proxyAddresses attribute as all Microsoft products expect them to be there.
