Meldrew Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 Hi. As part of a new build, the spec includes a 3D printer. Can anyone recommend one these days? I'm a bit out of date in what's good/bad. Thanks in advance, Meldrew
glen_j Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 I'd suggest multiple cheaper ones rather than just one expensive one otherwise there will be long queues waiting for prints to finish.
noelmm Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 I would agree with Jordan, the Prusa I3 look like really good printers and when you become familiar with it you should easily be able to replace any parts that may fail over time (heater cartridges etc.).
SamanthaD Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 I'd agree on multiple (at least 2) so you'll always have one while the other one is away being repaired.....
Reverend_Dan Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 Just bought and Ender3 for myself as my first 3d printer £154 and shipped from Germany https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Global-Ender-3-Creality-3D-printer-V-slot-prusa-I3-Kit-Resume-Power-Failure-Printer-3D/2846085_32858931045.html?spm=2114.12010608.0.0.58fe62ed6lCORT (just gone up a couple of quid today). Reviews its getting are decent.
Oaktech Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 Prusa for just working OOB. I'm a kit printer kinda guy because I like to fiddle. My 3D printer makes parts for itself!
