Creo vs Solidworks vs Autocad

Just curious if any of these come out on top as favourites to use?

Currently the DT department use Solidworks.

We use AutoCAD as it's free - don't even know if our DT considered anything else!

DT use Solidworks here. They used to use PTC Pro/DESKTOP (is that what has become Creo?) several years ago, but much prefer Solidworks and cite its use in industry as a reason for going with it.

Suggested all our tutors move to Autodesk given the free licensing

We went for Fusion360

We dumped Creo for SpaceClaim

Creo was inconsistent and tough to use. My experience said solid works as I used that and solid edge in Uni. But Auodesk is free for education and you can use 1 license to install on 100 pcs.

We moved from Solidworks to Autodesk around 3 years ago because of the free licensing and DT love it.

 

From IT point of view, it just works, no issue at all
