[1709, fcu] Cant access shares

I'm trying to access shares on my machines (Windows 10 EDU V1709) and its not claiming "0x80070035" "Network Path was not found"

 

I can access other computers shares but not my own from around the network.

 

i cant \\\C$ or \\\C$ which is odd (only to my machines)

 

Any ideas?

No firewall internally. (ive checked the basics. The shares are still there.

Have you applied a gpo to Remove the Run menu from Start Menu", in doing so, You also disabled the ability for users to perform any UNC browsing

 

Just thought I would throw that one in although you probably didn’t apply it to your PC.

 

I spotted this when locking staff/ students PCs down once.

Nope. Not configed... and cant see any problems with DNS

That was my guess. How do i overcome this?

Yep Both off.

 

I cant even see it from my own computer and the shares are on the same machine......

Have you tried turning them on (in addition to the firewall)?

Yep. just tired my normal AUC setting and i have checked Firewall settings. I cant see whats changed. Been like it since i updated CU's (ive been on V1709 for awhile and not had any problem since installing Feb or March's CU)

I think smbV1 is just a role to turn back on

@newpersn. Do you have any GPOs which may be affecting the SMB versions Windows can use?

 

Turning SMBv1 back on would be a bad idea.

Nope. its my main machine in the office, I'm tempted to rebuild it during half term....
