She looked at the article just now and said it was the only league where she was pleased to see Cardiff beat Swansea [emoji3]

 

It didn’t rain all the time in Lancaster... just every day for the entire first term. And as you say, you end up with darn good waterproofs... there’s no bad weather, just bad clothing!

 

Daughter’s end of finals barbecue was held despite the rain. That’s what gazebos and waterproofs are for (they were all Geographers and Environmental Scientists so the gear was essential)

It's the fact we have mountains on three sides and we get the westerlies straight off the Irish Sea/Atlantic.

These same mountains also shelter us from the snow.

Nearest place to me is Canterbury at 45th.

 

Which is quite funny as it's a local joke round here that Canterbury has is own climate as quite often it's raining on the center on Canterbury and no where else within a 30 mile radius!

 

I own a lot of Gore-Tex too. Good stuff it is. Especially in the hills.

of course bradford and leeds have the same rainfall (5th) theres no real boundary between them you literally just drive along a main road and see a sign that your in one or the other lol

I'm in Lancaster and I can verify it does rain a lot. Never enough snow to stick either when it does try.

Nothing wrong with some rain, it's why our grass is lovely and green, our trees are full and bush and our cattle and sheep are well fed! Without the rain our rivers and loch's would be calmer and ultimately, our whisky wouldn't taste so good:D

Where I live we get 25% less rain then anywhere else apparently, YAY for Eastbourne. We also get more tourists than anywhere else.

Thats why Goodwin Bros on Orchard Street in Preston had the "We shall have rain" painted on the outside of the building, One reason I moved!
